Why Yoga?

The science shows that yoga, breathing and mindfulness can help to deal with some of the biggest issues facing those of us who are HIV positive. This site and community is about bringing together people who want to explore ways to feel better, as well as ways to combat the long term effects of managed HIV infection. These practices are meant to be an adjunct to antiretroviral therapy (ART).

Can I do yoga?

Yes! Whether you're someone who is older and has never tried yoga before or you're a seasoned yogi, you will find a place here. Breathwork, mindfulness, and gentle chair yoga practices are accessible to just about everyone. More rigorous classes are great for those who are athletically inclined. I do offer classes and explore practices as part of this site, but I also welcome those who already have their own practice to be a part of the community and a part of the conversation.

What's on this site?

This is a FREE and private community for people living with HIV. Inside you'll find well over 100 on-demand yoga classes and information, as well as many community features that will allow you to chat with others, share thoughts and ideas, set up meetings and events with other members, and all kinds of other good stuff.

Classes for Every Body

My classes tend to be designed for the over-50 crowd: ranging from very accessible (chair yoga) to athletic flow sequences, and every step in between. If you are already an advanced yogi, I might not be the teacher for you, but feel free to join the community so you can share your yoga experiences with other poz folks.
